Give a Day– Get A Disney Day!

Posted by: Hip2Save.com

Do you currently volunteer in your community or have you thought about signing up to volunteer? If so, now is the perfect time to sign up to help your community and receive a small reward in return!
For a limited time, you can receive FREE admission to one of the theme parks of Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort when you sign up and complete a day of volunteer service with a participating organization. Once your volunteer service has been verified, you will receive an email with instructions on how to print a voucher to redeem for the free theme park ticket. You will then present the printed voucher at the designated will call ticket window at Walt Disney World Resort or a ticket booth at the Disneyland Resort, along with valid photo ID, to redeem for your free 1-day, 1-theme park ticket.
  • You must sign up for eligible volunteer opportunities for the “Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.” program by clicking here. (In other words. you must sign up for your volunteer activities by clicking through the Disney site)
  • You must be at least 18 to sign up.
  • You may only sign up a maximum of 8 members of your household.
  • Children must be at least 6 to participate in the program.
  • One ticket per person, regardless of the number of times you volunteer.
  • Program begins January 1, 2010 and continues until tickets are distributed or until December 15, 2010, whichever occurs first. Your voucher for a free ticket must be redeemed by December 15, 2010, and used on the same day of redemption.
  • Eligible volunteer opportunities are located in the United States, including Puerto Rico, or Canada only and you must have a residence in the United States, Puerto Rico or Canada to sign up.
**Note: Be aware that the theme park tickets distributed under this program will NOT be valid for use on the following dates:
For Walt Disney World Resort: March 29 – April 8 and July 4, 2010
For the Disneyland Resort: February 13-14, March 21, June 21-22, July 4, November 21, and December 11-12, 2010.

NEW UPDATE:
If you have a multi-day ticket, you can choose one of these 3 options:
1. You can donate your ticket to either Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern California, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, or Dreams Take Flight Canada.
2. You can choose to get a Special Ear Hat figurine with unique trading pins. (note: for collectors this is the ONLY way to get these unique pins.)
3. You can choose to get FASTPASS Special Exchange Cards for certain attractions for you and up to 5 additional members of your party. While the details on this aren’t currently clear, we can assume it will be like the Birthday FASTPASS exchange cards (you can see more details on that here: http://www.oinc.net/disney/fastpass.php#Birthday. This can be extremely beneficial to families on vacation. One day, Mom could turn in her voucher and get the FASTPASS card and another day Dad could turn his in for the FASTPASS card, etc.
Kristin over at Couponing to Disney participated in her volunteer project yesterday. She applied through the Disney website and spent 4 hours yesterday cooking and serving a meal to the homeless. It’s a very
enriching experience and you learn a lot about what goes on in your community that you were otherwise oblivious too.
(Thanks so much for this additional information, CouponingToDisney!)
